Tequila Sunrise

The Tequila Sunrise is a cocktail made of tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup, and served unmixed in a tall glass. The modern drink originates from Sausalito, California in the early 1970s. In 1972, Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones had the cocktail and shared his joy with his entourage. They enjoyed the drink so much they named one of their tours “Cocaine and Tequila Sunrise.”

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 4 oz Orange Juice
  • 1 oz Grenadine
  • Garnish: Orange Wedge & Maraschino Cherry

To create the perfect Tequila Sunrise, in a highball glass filled with ice, pour in the tequila and orange juice. Slowly pour the grenadine into the glass over the back of a spoon or by drizzling it down the side of the glass, allowing it to settle at the bottom. Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry.
